Dr Ramya Mohan is a senior Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and Medical Educator. She has worked as a CAMHS consultant in the NHS since 2008. She is a Consultant at The Priory Hospital, Roehampton and offers private consultations in Harley Street and The Priory, Roehampton for children and young people aged 6 to 18.

Dr. Mohan is a medical doctor sub-specialising in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and can diagnose health conditions and prescribe medication. She is experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions impacting children, adolescents, young people and families. Her approach is friendly, ethical, caring, confidential and clinically sound. She offers highly specialist assessments for the diagnosis of Autism/Autism Spectrum Condition (ASD) and ADHD.

Dr Mohan studied medicine at Bangalore Medical College, India. She completed her core psychiatry training with the South London and Maudsley training scheme (Guy’s, St Thomas and Lewisham Hospitals). She completed her sub-specialisation (higher specialist training) in child and adolescent psychiatry with the Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Royal London Hospital training scheme.

She has extensive experience as a CAMHS NHS Consultant in child and adolescent psychiatry since 2008 - with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust (Greenwich CAMHS), Surrey & Borders NHS Foundation Trust (Guildford CAMHS), North-East London NHS Foundation Trust (Canterbury CAMHS) and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (Worthing and Ouse CAMHS). She has excellent experience as a senior consultant psychiatrist in specialist neurodevelopmental services ( ADHD teams - North-East London NHS Foundation Trust and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the county ASC team, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust).

Dr Mohan’s areas of special interest include the diagnosis and assessment of autism/autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, the cognitive neuroscience of creativity and pharmacology in children and young people. She has extensive experience in treating a wide range of conditions and co-morbidities impacting children, young people and their families. She works with them in a comprehensive, integrated and collaborative manner.

Dr Mohan is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and holds full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). She is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council as a specialist Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.

Dr.Mohan lives in Surrey and has 2 children of her own.

  • Initial appointments include a detailed letter sent to your GP with an agreed care plan, a letter to you and a private prescription as needed.​

  • ADHD assessments include electronic questionnaires (for teachers, parents and where appropriate, for young people), a detailed developmental history, an observational assessment, a QB test (where appropriate) and a detailed report.
  • ASD assessments are multi-disciplinary with a clinical psychologist as required and include electronic questionnaires (for teachers, parents and where appropriate, for young people), a detailed semi-structured, validated developmental assessment via videoconferencing (ADI-R or the 3Di), an in-person, semi-structured, validated assessment (ADOS) and a detailed report.
  • ASD & ADHD assessments include multi-professional inputs, electronic questionnaires (for teachers, parents and where appropriate, for young people), a detailed developmental history (by videoconferencing), a QBCheck (where appropriate), an in-person multidisciplinary structured ADOS assessment and observational ADHD assessment and a detailed report.
